The salad servers from the Hoop series by Stelton are made of carbonized ash wood. Using carbonization, an ancient Japanese technique, the surface of the wood is charred to achieve a darker tone. This process creates deep dark shades without the use of stains or other chemicals. The carbon surface treatment is environmentally friendly and gives the ash wood an elegant dark finish. The salad server set is lightweight and comfortable to hold.
