Rosendahl - Kay Bojesen wooden monkey small
Kay Bojesen's family grows around the famous Kay Bojesen wooden monkey, which was first produced in 1951. The monkey is made of teak and lime wood. Despite its size, the little monkey naturally has just as much charisma and charm as its older siblings in Kay Bojesen's troupe. Because the teak comes from a plantation, it can have dark spots and streaks, but exposure to air and light can reduce this grain over time. Accordingly, there are variations in the wood from monkey to monkey, but these make each individual monkey unique.
