The LES FORGÉS 1890 chef's knives from Opinel epitomise the high quality of French knife cutlery. Forged from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of 56-57 HRC, the knives are characterised by their robustness, balance, durability and cutting quality. The handle made of stabilised beech wood with its ergonomic profile pays homage to the traditional Opinel pocket knife and offers remarkable grip and handling properties. With the office knife, Opinel offers a practical, compact all-purpose helper for the kitchen. The tapered blade is just as suitable for peeling and cutting fruit and vegetables as it is for removing the stems from strawberries or tomatoes. The unusual term office goes back to the name of the scullery in early French manor houses, where food was cleaned and prepared for further processing in the kitchen.
