A HIGH-TECH PRODUCT FROM NATURE

Kitchen utensils, such as the breakfast board or cooking spoon, are now mostly made of plastic instead of wood. The misconception: plastic is more hygienic. However, scientific studies by the Federal Biological Institute for Agriculture and Forestry and the German Institute for Food Technology have shown that wood has an antibacterial effect compared to plastic.

OUR CARE TIPS AND TRICKS

• Any good kitchen should use different cutting boards for different foods. - one for meat - one for fish - one for onions and garlic - one for fruit and vegetables
• Oil care is the best household remedy to keep the cutting board hygienically clean and supple. To do this, it not only has to be 100% clean, but also really dry.
• After cleaning, stand the wooden board upright so that the water can run off completely and the air can reach it from all sides. In this way you prevent tension that can arise when drying wood and cause it to crack. In general, objects made of natural materials should never remain in the water for a long time. And they don't belong in the dishwasher either, as high temperatures and lots of water damage the valuable wood.
