A board is a hygiene zone. It is where we cut what we eat. For this reason, it should always be germ-free.
However, this becomes more and more difficult with increasing use. Again and again, food residues and germs settle in the (ever increasing) cuts. This then leads to discolouration, odours and germ transmission. In the end, the only choice is between throwing it away (which is a shame if the board cost a bit more) or removing the traces of use.
Hardly anyone has a planing machine at home or wants to go begging to the carpenter all the time. Apart from that, they don't like to work with plastic.
That's why Schneidbrettguru developed the hygiene scraper, so that cutting board hygiene is practically feasible for everyone.
