Do you enjoy Italian cooking and want to delight your family with inspiring dishes beyond pasta and pizza? The cast iron roaster from the BALLARINI Bellamonte series makes it possible. This Dutch oven evolved from the northern Italian tradition of the “paiolo di ghisa,” where dishes like meat and vegetable stews or polenta were prepared in a cast iron pot over an open flame. With the Ballarini roaster, you can also cook over an open flame - though more interestingly, it is also suitable for all types of stovetops, including induction.
Several factors contribute to the ideal cooking results in this induction roaster. First and foremost is the cast iron. This material has particularly good heat conduction and distribution. Cast iron makes dishes especially flavorful, giving them a distinct roasted aroma - perfect for slow cooking. Additionally, the roaster’s lid has a drop structure. This special lid design allows for very even moisture distribution, giving dishes an exceptional flavor and tender texture.
The Dutch oven has a particularly scratch-resistant enamel coating and is dishwasher safe and oven-safe up to 240°C.
The design of the roaster comes from Milan’s star designers Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez. Combined with the intense green color and the matte gold knob featuring the BALLARINI logo, it makes a true statement when serving.
